RIPE Judges

April 2010 – RIPE Creative Principal, Mark Anthony Munoz, will be headed off to sunny California to judge the AAF ADDY Competition for District 15. The district includes Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara and other locations. Mark is looking forward to reviewing all the great work from such a diverse district.

 

RIPE "Bags a Beast"

March 2010 – Those who bagged a beast were announced at the 25th Annual ADDY Awards. The gala theme honored the community’s “creative beasts”. This year, AAF Metro Phoenix received an almost-record-breaking 723 entries in 147 categories, from 74 companies throughout the Phoenix metro area.

Top awards went to:

  • Best Of Show: Mindspace, Inc. self-promotion calendar
  • Art Directors of the Year: Stewart West and John Johnson from TunnelBravo
  • Special Judges Award: Riester for the American Lung Association’s “Lungs” tee and poster entries
  • Ad Person Of The Year: Park Howell, President of Park&Co

RIPE Creative was also honored again this year with a Silver ADDY for Ad Club Promotion: 2009 ADDY Awards Collateral.

RIPE Judges

January 2010 – RIPE Creative Principal to judge District National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC)
RIPE Creative Principal, Susannah Fields, has been honored with a request to judge the District 6 National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) in Southfield, MI. Susannah is looking forward to seeing all the great work from total of 21 schools, making this a mega district. The corporate client for this year’s NSAC is State Farm Insurance.

The Traps Have Been Triggered

January 2010 – ADDY judging was held January 15-16th in the penthouse suite at the über-hip Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, Arizona. Judges arrived to inspect the traps and select the creative bait that has worked the best in the metro Phoenix market.

The extremely talented judges for the 25th Annual ADDYs were: Mark Carlson, Creative Director, US Marketing, McDonald’s Corporation, Alesandra Lariu, Digital Group Creative Director, McCann Erickson NYC and Jay Roth, Senior Copywriter, The Integer Group, Denver, Co.

Our three awesome judges were tasked with judging 700+ professional entries for print, radio, television, interactive and multimedia categories, as well as some excellent student work. Entrants were notified on the status of their entries in early February.

This year's ADDYS Gala will be held on Saturday, March 6, at the Downtown Sheraton Phoenix from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. Ad 2 Phoenix will again host the traditional ADDY after party.

The 2010 ADDY Hunt is on

December 2009 – Amount of great work entered in 2010 ADDY competition exceeds expectations!
ADDY Co-chairs Mark Anthony Munoz and Susannah Fields are glad to report that over 700 entries were submitted for the 25th Annual AAF-Metro Phoenix ADDY Award competition. A record-breaking 74 companies entered this year's competition making it one of the biggest ever!

The mission of the ADDY competition is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising. Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) and AAF Metro Phoenix, the ADDY Awards are the first of a three-tier, national competition. All across the country, local entrants vie for recognition as the very best in their markets. At the second tier, local winners compete against other winners on one of 15 District competitions. District winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the national ADDY Awards competition.

RIPE Wins

September 2009 –The results are in: RIPE Creative is a winner of three American Graphic Design awards!

  • Internet Design: RIPE Creative Web Site
  • Self Promotion: RIPE Creative Robot Greeting Card and Magnet
  • Pro Bono: National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Rebrand

The competition, presented by Graphic Design USA, honors outstanding new work of all kinds in 23 categories from print and packaging to internet and interactive design.

 

It's Official, We're Good People

August 2009 – They've checked us out, and we're squeaky clean. RIPE Creative is now accredited by the Better Business Bureau! In a nutshell, this means the BBB has determined we meet their principles of creating and maintaining trust in business. Membership also gives added peace of mind to existing and potential clients that they're working with a reputable company.

April 2009 – RIPE Creative was honored at the AAF Metro Phoenix, 24th Annual ADDY Awards "Creative Smackdown" with a Silver ADDY award.

RIPE Leads

September 2008 – Mark Anthony Munoz, RIPE Creative Principal, was honored to be among this year’s “40 Hispanic Leaders Under 40” at the second annual event hosted by the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce at the Arizona Biltmore.

The event recognizes key Hispanic business and community leaders who are making significant contributions to the greater good of the community.

June 2008 – RIPE Creative was honored with the prestigious “President’s Choice” award at the 2008 National Association of Women Business Owners Phoenix Desert Diamonds Awards Gala. We were honored for our contribution of rebranding the Phoenix Chapter’s identity, including advertising, creating an exhibit display and membership collateral.

As an Executive Corporate Partner it was exciting to develop a new brand identity for a great organization that serves as the voice and vision of women business owners in Phoenix. NAWBO Phoenix now has a great new identity that effectively communicates the evolution of the organization and make it’s voice even louder.
